Located in the Barcelona area, CIN2 is a key action for the development of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology in Catalonia and Spain, aiming to be an international referent of scientific excellence. This site will help you find out about our research and follow up on our investigations. CIN2 is a mixed center formed by the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC) and the Institut Català de Nanotecnologia (ICN). This joint intellectual adventure spans from fundamental research in nanoscience to appplications of nanotechnology, interfacing with the industrial enviroment. We promote both local and international collaborations, and our research ranges from focused lines to transversal activities.
